That’s why I dedicate compute hours to BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing).

Most personal computers spend a surprising amount of time idle. BOINC changes that by allowing anyone to donate unused CPU and GPU cycles to scientific research. Instead of sitting dormant, my hardware contributes to projects in fields like medicine, climate science, astrophysics, and mathematics.
